Unfortunately, reports have shown that these types of severe resolutions are difficult - if not impossible - for lots of people to stay with for more than a few weeks.
For this New Year, however, there is 1 very good resolution which everybody can make - obtaining a college degree. Unlike the other types of resolutions written about, this goal does not involve severe and demanding physical adjustments. Instead, it involves moving toward beginning an enjoyable and lucrative career. Taking the initial steps toward earning a college degree might just be the wisest decision anyone can make for the New Year!
Locating Employment in your New Field
When considering today’s economy and earning a college degree in order to increase job opportunities, it is smart to bear in mind that not all school degrees are the same. In other words, earning a degree in certain fields can certainly make finding a worthwhile position in a rewarding career much easier, while degrees from other industries of study may not provide as many employment opportunities.
So, the first advice in finding jobs is to choose your field of study with care. This does not mean that you have to get a degree in a industry in which you lack interest; rather, it means that it is best to do a bit of investigating to see which types of jobs are in high demand.
Some employment positions at certain companies may employ people to work and then pay for their college education. A variation on this is common in nursing; where some hospitals and clinics will “allow” or pay for their newly-hired employees student loans when they begin performing.
